VETERAN HONORED

RICEVILLE, IOWA — Osage chapter, No. 36, Royal Arch Masons, at the annual meeting at Osage, bestowed on Colonel R. T. St. John of Riceville 50 year membership certificate No. 1. The certificate carries with it a life membership to the recipient who has recently completed a 50 year affiliation with the order.

Atty. W. H. Salisbury reviewed events of the past 50 years and commented on the changes wrought in the 90 years Companion St. John had lived. Judge Carl Reed of Cresco supplemented these remarks in a short talk.

Colonel St. John, a Civil war veteran, responded. Representatives of the Cresco chapter joined the local members in a social hour, a supper concluding the ceremony.

The certificate issued was the forty-fourth issued in Iowa.
