MILLS COUNTY TRIBUNE
DATED FEBRUARY 26,1907:

While preparing the evening meal in her home in Silver City about five o’clock last Thursday evening, Mrs. K. P. Mass was stricken in her kitchen and died before medical attendance could be secured.

The aged husband was out in the yard and when he stepped into the house found his wife dying on the floor in front of the stove. Being unable to rouse her he called for help but before assistance arrived she had breathed her last.

Mrs. Mass was 74 years old and was among the old settlers in that part of Mills county. The family had resided in Silver City for about 20 years, previous to which they lived on a farm near there. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon.
