Mrs. J.E. Cheyney Dies at her Home: The death of Mrs. John E. Cheyney, announcement of which we made last week occurred at the family home south of Glenwood Tuesday, January 7th at 7 o'clock p.m.

Mrs. Cheyney suffered from white swelling when a girl of eight years of age which left her a cripple and most of her life has been spent as an invalid. No sufferer, however, could have borne pain with more patience and fortitude.

When the family was stricken with the Spanish influenza, she was the last to take to her bed, but her weakened condition caused a complication with hastened her death. She entered peacefully into her last sleep and her soul has gone into the keeping of the Great Redeemer. Cecilia C. Richards, daughter of Milton Richards and the late Caroline Walling, was born at Glenwood, December 29th, 1874. On November 30, 1900, she was united in marriage to John E. Cheyney and to this union eight children were born, two having died young. Those living at Thornton, Milton, Edith, John Jr., James and Woodrow, the eldest being seventeen years of age and the youngest six. Besides her children she leaves her husband; her father who made his home with them; one sister, Mrs. Josephine McCoy, of Glenwood, and one brother of Sterling, Colorado. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 9th, at the home of by Elder Houges, of the Latter-Day Saints Church of Henderson. Mr. Houges being a cousin of the deceased. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.

We wish to thank those who so kindly and loyally stood by us and rendered their services during this our saddest bereavement.
