Death of T. W. Walling

Thorn W. Walling died at his residence last Saturday morning after an illness of a short duration. Mr. Walling was born near Ottumwa, Oct. 15, 1850, and in 1869 moved with his father to Mills county, where he has since resided. He was engaged in the butcher business until two years age when failing health compelled him to abandon the trade. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at three o’clock, Rev. G.W. Porter officiating. Mr. Walling leaves a wife and one child, a five year old son to mourn the loss of a husband and father.
