Mrs. Emily Kirby

Mrs. Emily Kirby, aged 90 years, died Tuesday at the home of her son J.F. Kirby north of Pacific Junction. The funeral was held Wednesday at 12 o'clock at Martin's Chapel conducted by the pastor Rev. A.L. Curtis. She was born Sept. 9, 1813, in Clark County, Ky. Was married to W.H. Kirby in Randolph County, Mo., to whom were born ten children, eight surviving. The family moved to Pacific City in 1863. Deceased joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church in 1831, living a devoted Christian life for 73 years.
