Mrs. Laura L. Smith died at the home of her brother, James Wiatt, at Council Bluffs Saturday morning after a short illness. The remains were brought to Silver City on the 5:30 train Sunday evening and were met at the depot by a large number of relatives and friends. After song and prayer an opportunity was give to those who wished to view the remains, after which they were placed beside those of her husband in the Silver City cemetery. Owing to inclement weather the funeral services were postponed until Sunday morning, April 10, when they will be held in the M. E. Church at 11 a. m.
