January 20, 1941I.O.O.F. Burial Service Here for Byron Mershon
Burial services for the body of Byron Mershon, 88, retired grocery-man of Excelsior Springs, Mo., were held in the Glenwood cemetery at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, the ritualistic service of the I.O.O.F. lodge being used and the prayer being offered by Rev. H.G. Parker.
Mr. Mershon, a native of Pennsylvania, was the son of a well known early-day family in Glenwood. His survivors are a daughter, Mrs. A.M. Smith of New York City, two sons, Arthur Mershon of Alhambra, Calif., and Leo Mershon of Sperry, Okla., and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Adams of Denver, Col.
Those officiating as casket bearers at the Glenwood burial, which was in charge of the Myers-James Funeral Home, were Ernest Barker, J.R. Graves, Paul Sulhoff, Allen Watts, Art Byers and Al Mumea.
