O.E. Shay, Former Resident Died Feb. 23

A telegram was received by Miss Jo Daniel Sunday, Feb. 23, telling of the death of O.E. Shay which occurred at 3 o’clock that morning at his home at 313 Second Ave., S.W. Puyallup, Wash.

Mr. Shay is well known by many Mills county people having grown to young manhood here. He served as deputy county auditor during the 90’s and later for some time was associated with the Glenwood State Bank. The family moved to Washington state many years ago, where he has been closely connected with the marketing interests of the Northwest Fruit Growers Association, in which he was actively engaged at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife and son, Louis, who resides at Los Angeles, Calif
