Body of J.A. Wright Brought Here for Burial.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wright drove to Rockport, Mo., Sunday morning, to be in attendance at the funeral services of his father, J.A. Wright, which were held in the Clifton Funeral Home there at 1 0'clock that afternoon, conducted by Rev. D.L. McConnel, assisted by Rev. Harry Ellis. The body was brought to Glenwood where burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.

James Arthur, son of Walter and Elizabeth Wright, was born in Mills county, Iowa, September 1, 1881. Here he grew to young manhood and moved with the family to Missouri in 1903. The following year he returned to Mills county and was married to Carrie Anthony, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Anthony, well known residents of Center township. They spent several years on a farm here and in Missouri, returning to Mills county where they lived for some time, after which his health failed which made active farm life impossible. His condition gradually grew worse and for the past twenty-five years he has been with his brother, Alfred, and sister, Ruth, neither of whom ever married and who made their home on the farm near Rockport. During the past several years he has been a helpless invalid, but bore life's affliction with a courage and patience that won for him the admiration of all who knew him.

Release from life's earthly suffering came Friday, January 24, he being 59 years, four months and 24 days of age at the time of his passing.

He is survived by Mrs. Carrie Wright of Dension, their daughter, Mildred Clark of Des Moines; sons, Walter of Glenwood and Glenn of Normal, Ill., as well as five grandchildren, one sister, Miss Ruth Wright of Pockport, Mo., three brothers, T.J. Wright of Glenwood, Joseph and Alfred of Rockport, Mo.
