Services Held Saturday for Former Resident

Clara Rether Lovestrom, daughter of the late J.F. Rether, of this city was born in Columbus, Ohio, January 15, 1889. When she was about a year old the family moved to Glenwood, Ia., where she grew to womanhood.

She received her primary education in the Glenwood schools and graduated from the local high school with the class of 1908.

On March 1, 1913, she was united in marriage to James Lovestrom at Red Oak, Ia., and to this union one child was born, James Junior.

The family left Glenwood in 1913 and have made their home in Manitowoc, Wisconsin most of the time since.

Mrs. Lovestrom had been in failing health for a long time, and passed away at Madison, Wisconsin, February 25, at the age of 52 years, one month and 10 days.

Besides her mother, husband, and son, she leaves to mourn their loss, other relatives and many friends.

The body was brought to Glenwood, where funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Myers-James Funeral home, conducted by Rev. J.S. Reel, of the Christian church, assisted by Rev. Grant H. Parker, of the Methodist church. Music for the service consisted of a duet by Delores Reel and Betty Scott, with Mrs. Bert Colwell at the piano. Those in charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. J.R. Wilcox, Mrs. G.W. Myers, Mrs. Glen Miller, and Mrs. Orton Kier. The pallbearers were Raymond Mintle, Orton Kier, Edd Marshall, C.A. Byers, John Bruce and Elmer Stacy.

The body was laid to rest in the Glenwood cemetery.
