Funeral Services Held for W.J. Snuffin

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 1. for W.J. Snuffin, 82, who passed away Friday, January 30 at his home in this city. Mr. Snuffin was born in Glenwood on September 16, 1859 where he grew to manhood.

On April 25, 1912 he was married to Mrs. Maggie Temple of Red Oak, Iowa. They have since made their home in Glenwood where Mr. Snuffin has followed the trade of carpenter and painter, having been employed for many years in that capacity at the Glenwood State school.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one stepson, Frank Temple of Centerville, Ia., three grandchildren of Centerville, two brothers, Paul and Herbert Snuffin, both of Glenwood and two sisters, Mrs. George Edmonds of Glenwood and Mrs. Edith Stanley, of Piedmont, California, besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

The services were held at the Myers-James funeral home. Music was furnished by Ruth Miller, Betty Scott, Tom White and Garreld Baker with Mrs. T.W. White at the piano. Selections rendered were "Rock of Ages" and "Going Down the Valley".

Mrs. Myrtle Hofmockel and Mrs. Wm. Echternach were in charge of the floral offerings. Those who served as pallbearers were Berwyn Hamilton, Al Standiford, Wm. Slezak, Wm. Stivers, Wm. DeMoss and R.M. Stivers.

Interment was made in the Glenwood cemetery.
