Johana Angus was born in Westergatland, Sweden, Feb. 7, 1843. and died at Malvern, Iowa, Feb. 10,. 1912

She came to this county in July 1868 locating at Moline, Ill. She was married in December 1874 to Peter Holm whose death occurred in 1875. She was married to William Angus in March 1879, and they moved to Mills county, Iowa, the same year and located on Mr. Angus's farm in White Cloud township where they resided for twenty years, when they moved to Malvern and have since made this their home.

She was the mother of four children, Hannah, Agnes, William A. and Walter H. all of whom preceded her excepting Walter, who with the husband survives and mourns her loss.

Mrs. Angus was converted and joined the Baptist church at Rock Island, Ill. in 1870, and has ever lived a consistent Christian life.

Among those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Belknap of Creston, Nebr., Warren Anderson of Rock Island, Ill., William Hansen of Pocahontas Center, Iowa, Carl Gustafson and Miss Huldah Gustafson of Essex, and Mrs. Fred Borene of Imogene.
