Carl Spetman Died Sunday Funeral Wednesday

With the passing of Carl H. Spetman, another pioneer resident has been taken from this community.

Mr. Spetman, who had been a patient in the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs for the past thirteen months, following a stroke, was brought last Thursday by ambulance to the J.L. Ross home, where he passed away Sunday morning. Born January 10, 1864 he has been a resident of this community for the past fifty years and had reached the age of 78 years, 8 months and 3 days at the time of his passing.

He is survived by one brother, J.H. Spetman, three neices, Miss Olga Spetman, Mrs. George Gerdes and Mrs. Jack Dye all of Allaince, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held from the James Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Dr. Frederick Long officiating. Burial will be made in the Glenwood cemetery with the IOOF Lodge No. 97 in charge of the services at the grave.
