Hastings and vicinity has been called to mourn the passing of another pioneer. On Saturday morning, April 30, after several years of invalidism, near two years of which she has been confined to her bed. Mrs. David Henderson answered the call of death.

She was one of those splendid women who unassumingly served her family and neighborhood by personal work whenever she was able. Her husband and children only knew of her full worth, and they know her as one who rejoiced in their welfare and asked no credit for the part which she enacted in their service.

Funeral services were held at the home, three miles north of Hastings today (Monday) at 10 a.m. Burial was in Malvern cemetery.
