County Recorder Hattie Brown was called to Filley, Neb., Thursday by the illness of her sister, Mrs. Maude Goheen, who passed away at her home there on Friday from complications resulting from a stroke she suffered about a month ago. Mrs. Goheen’s funeral was held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock and burial was made in Filley.

Survivors are her husband, Gus Goheen, a member of the Mills county pioneer family for whom several rural schools were named, one daughter, Mrs. Lois Beatty, and six grandchildren, all of whom live in the vicinity of Filley and Adams, Neb.
