Franklin Charles Pitzer, 97, of Shenandoah, died May 22 at Gardenview Care Center in Shenandoah. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Pitzer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen and his sister, Margaret Leuck. He is survived by his sons, Donald and wife Myrna. John Pitzer and his wife Mary Lou; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother John Pitzer and wife Nina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
