Leanor “Toots” Stearns, 68, of Glenwood, formerly of Benedict, Neb., died April 3, 2005 in Council Bluffs. Funeral services are today, Wednesday, April 6 at Glenwood Cemetery.

Leanor was born Feb 27, 1937 in Broken Bow, Neb to Michael William and Leora (Blair) Lulow. She was united in marriage to John Elexis Stearns on April 4, 1955 in Alliance, Neb. Leanor and John resided in Benedict, Neb. until moving to Glenwood in 2003. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church while in Benedict and she attended the Calvary Baptist Church after moving to Glenwood.

Preceding Leanor in death were her parents, a niece, a nephew, four brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. She is survived by her husband John; children, Debra North of Lincoln, Neb., Kenneth and wife Christine Stearns of Benedict, Neb., Jodie E. and husband Tim Hahn of Glenwood, Darla L. and husband Scott Jorgenson of Watertown, S.D., Scottie Stearns of Glenwood; brothers and sisters, Rosemary Peterson of Chardon, Neb., Johnny Lulow of Hemmingford, Neb., Margaret Fallon of Lindsey, Okla., Michael Lulow of Torrington, Wyo., Norma Jean Powers of Weatherford, Okla., Gloria Lauder of Alliance, Neb., Steven Lulow of Alliance, Neb., Bobby Lulow of Alliance, Neb., Bonnie Best of Alliance, Neb.,; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
