Mrs. Tyler died at the home of her daughter Mrs. W. H. Hasty 6 miles south of Glenwood on July 25th. Neaty Tyler, nee, Coombs, was born in Clark County, Ind. May 5th, 1813. From there she moved to Missouri, thence to Iowa and was married to John Tyler near Jefferson, Green County, Iowa, July 25, 1861. They moved to Mills County 12 years ago where they have since resided. She was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom are living and were present at the funeral. She had been a member of the Christian church for more than 30 years. For almost six years she had been a constant sufferer from an abcess on the lungs for more than ten months had been confined to her bed. Everything that loving hands or everything that medical skill could do was done, but nothing could effect a cure. She was ever cheerful and bore her suffering with the hope that when done with the trouble of this life a place was prepared and in waiting for her. She was ready to go and told her children she soon expected to cross the dark river of Death but the one who had been with her through life would go with her through its waters. The funeral services were conducted at the Pleasant Hill Christian church by Rev. F.F. Grimm. Her body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery by the side of her husband who was laid their six years ago.
