January 8, 1903Death of Aaron Lewis
Word reached here this week of the death of Aaron Lewis at Escondito, California, Saturday, Dec. 27, 1902, after a lingering illness, during which time he had been a great sufferer. He was 82 years, 3 mo., 21 das.
Mr. Lewis had been a resident of Mills County for a number of years, owning a fine farm out northwest of this place. His health being very poor and thinking a change of climate would do him good, he determined to go to California, and last summer he and his wife moved there, making his home with his brother, Milton.
He leaves besides his wife and one son, R.B. Lewis, who lives near here, a host of friends who sympathize with them in their bereavement.
