Mrs. Jesse Bell, well known resident of Malvern for the past 30 years, died Friday afternoon after a brief illness of but a few hours.
She had worked about the home as usual and seemed to feel well. She kept Mr. Bells books and told him she had all the monthly statements ready for him. But a little before noon she was taken suddenly quite ill and seemed in great pain. A doctor was summoned. She was in such pain that a hypodermic was given her and she relaxed and was resting easy.
Along about 4 o'clock she suddenly awakened and her condition so alarmed them that the doctor and family was hastily summoned but she died within a few minutes.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon and the church was overflowing with friends and relatives to pay their last sad tribute.
Rev, R.W. Gugeler, the pastor, conducted the services. Mrs. F. R. Chastry and Mrs. I.A Talbot, with Mrs. Ray Donner as accompanist, sang.
Masses of beautiful flowers showed much love and esteem. They were in the charge of Mrs. R.W. Mansfield, Mrs. Frank Herts and Mrs. C.A. Paulson.
