SUDDEN DEATH OF THOS. MADIGAN

Thomas Madigan, a well known and long time resident of this place, was found dead in his bed in his home just north of the Wabash tracks on Main street, Saturday morning. He had evidently passed away some time in the late night or early hours of the morning, as friends who had been in to see him stayed late with him.

Mr. Madigan had lived here a number of years and was for many years in the employ of the railroads, at one time being section foreman, and was still employed on the section. He had lived alone since the death of his wife. He had been sick for some days preceding but his friends did not think he was in any immediate danger.

He leaves one sister, Mary Madigan of Chicago, who came in Sunday afternoon and remained until after the funeral Monday.

He was 64 years of age and was born in Ireland.

One hundred and ninety dollars in bills were found underneath his pillow and he had a deposit of some $700.00 in the First National bank. In addition to this he owned the property where he lived.

A.E. Cook has been appointed administrator of the estate.
