Mr. J.M. Hovety, a prominent citizen of this place, died Saturday night of consumption. His funeral occurred Sunday evening and was largely attended. Mr. Hovey was at one time a member of the Iowa legislature from Buchanan County. He has been in poor health most of the time since coming here.
