Death of Dr. Donelan
Truly the hand of death is heavy upon this community. Three weeks in succession has the Leader been called on to chronicle the demise of pioneer settlers of Mills County. To the list we are compelled this week to add the name of Dr. J.A. Donelan, who died at his home in Glenwood about noon on Saturday last. For more than thirty years Dr. Donelan has been a prominent and well-known figure in Mills County, and his death, following so closely that of Dr. Christy, his contemporary for so many years, brought a peculiar sadness to many hearts. Quite a number of our people attended the funeral.
