12-30-2004Louise K. (Kirker) Long, 95 of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Pacific Juntion, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on December 23, 2004 in Omaha, NE. She was born September 22, 1909 in Ashland, NE to John and Hattie (Weaver) Kirker.
Louise was united in marriage to John Charles (J.C.) Long on December 27, 1930 in Sidney, Iowa. To this union one daughter Nancy was born. Louise was a school teacher and member of Jolly Womens Club. The family lived on the farm near Pacific Junction, where Louise resided for 63 years. She then relocated to Omaha to live with Nancy in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. in 1993; three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Long of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Kristi Long of Chicago, IL, John Freudenthal of Omaha, NE; great-grandchild, Justin Powers of Omaha, NE; sister-in-laws, Clara Nance of Eugene, Oregon, Loretta and husband Don Dihel of California.
Funeral services were held at the Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood, Iowa on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Bill Sargent officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood, Iowa Cemetery.
Memorials go to the Ralston Public Library or Omaha Public Library. Peterson Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
