Mrs. Elizabeth Haynie died yesterday morning at the residence of her son, Mr. Paul Haynie in Lyons township. She had been ailing for some time with stomach and bowel trouble, tho' the cause of her death was old age perhaps more than anything else. Mrs. Haynie was in her 80th year at the time of her death and together with her husband were among the oldest settlers in Mills county, coming here some forty years ago. The deceased was a lady of many virtues who enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who were acquainted with her. The interment took place today at the Waubonsie cemetery nine miles south of Glenwood which is the family burying ground.
