The funeral of Barton W. Harmer, a brother of A.J. Harmer, living south of Glenwood took place yesterday at 2 o'clock at the Waubonsie M.E. church, Rev. R.E. Shaw of Glenwood officiating.

He died of pneumonia at his home near Plattsmouth Dec. 25. He was unmarried and reputed to be very wealthy. He was born Jan 20, 1829, in Lancaster County, Penn. He resided in Mills County from 1861 to 1871, running a woolen mill with his brother south of town. He leaves four brothers and a sister, the latter being Mrs. W.S. Kesterson of Tabor.
