Mrs. E.L. Summers who gave birth to triplets two weeks ago and has been very ill since died at her home in White Cloud township Thursday afternoon about four o’clock. Emma Barnett was born Oct. 28, 1871. She was married to Ed L. Summers 15 years ago and they have since lived on their farm southwest of Malvern. She was a beautiful and lovable woman, a faithful member of the Methodist church at Malvern and an affectionate wife and mother. There are left to mourn her loss, her father, her sister Mrs. Rose Knight, and her husband and four children, three little boys and the baby girl, besides other relatives, and many friends. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev Cable assisted by Rev. Waldo and was largely attended. The music was rendered by Messrs Stevenson and Stone, Mrs. C.A. Rickabaugh and Miss Richards, members of the Methodist choir. The pall bearers were Messrs Grant, Willis, Roy, Harry, Strayer and Jay Summers. There were brief services at the grave and then all that was mortal was laid to rest in the beautiful “God’s Acre” on the hill. The family have the sympathy of all in this sudden bereavement.
