Daniel Paul “Petie” Peterson, 69, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Glenwood, died Nov. 9, 2004, at the Northcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center in Council Bluffs. Funeral services were held Nov. 12 at the Hertz Funeral Home in Glenwood. Pastor Mike Stevens officiated the services. Interment was at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was the son of Paul Frank and Louise Anne (Snyder) Peterson, born Sept. 29, 1935, in Oskaloosa. He moved to the Glenwood State Hospital-School in 1938 along with his twin brother David. They were inseparable until David’s death in !956. Mr. Peterson continued to live at the Glenwood Resource Center, where he became a favorite of the staff. He later moved to Park Place in Glenwood, where he spent a good number of his adult years. In 2001, he moved to Northcrest. Regardless of where he lived, his infectious smile, love for blowing bubbles and ability to become the center of attention drew people to him. He touched the hearts of many people throughout his lifetime and will be missed by all.

Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother and brothers Charles Peterson and Les Peterson. He is survived by sister Deanna Peterson of Council Bluffs and niece Debi Lynn Juhl, her husband Mark and their children Kristi, Jason and Jessica, all of Sioux Falls, S.D.
