November 24, 1921Tom Dyke and Miss Marguerite were called to Omaha Thursday by the serious illness of Mrs. Dyke, whose death occurred before they reached her bedside. Mrs. Dyke had been at the Methodist hospital in Omaha for two weeks but it was thought that she was improving until shortly before her death. Death was caused by a tumor on the brain. Mrs. Dyke had been in poor health for some time but the seriousness of her condition was not realized. At the time of her death she was aged 39 years, 7 months and 7 days. As her father Mr. Gallup, and other near relatives are living in Omaha, funeral services and burial were there. The funeral was Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bailey & Dorrance chapel, 19th and Cumings streets and interment was in the Forest Lawn cemetery. Mr. Dyke returned to Tabor after the funeral. Marguerite remained with relatives in Omaha but will come home some time this week. She may return to Omaha to make her home with relatives there.
