Francis Shannon died Feb. 11 at the residence of his son-in-law, J.H. Mayberry, age 77 years, 2 months. He united with the Bible Christian church in 1864 at Vaugusville, Ohio. He lived a Christian life until his death which was caused by that dreaded disease, cancer. He was a patient sufferer and his last words were “I am going home.”
