Violet Hill, 84, of Tabor, died Nov. 2, 2004, at her home. Funeral services were held Nov. 6 at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor. Rev. Jack Hofmockel and Rev. L.Dean Surface officiated the services. Interment was at the Thurman Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill was the daughter of James E and Mary E. (Bennett) Moyer, born April 17, 1920, in Gretna, Neb. She married E. Glen Hill on Aug. 22, 1950, in Hamburg. She worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse and was a member of the Tabor United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and five brothers. She is survived by daughters Mary Howery and husband Jon of Thurman, Carol Tackett and husband Don of Glenwood and Sue Paczkowski and husband: Steve of Hastings, Neb.; Sons Ted Hill and wife Carol of Tabor and William Hill and wife Linnea of Beaver Lake, Neb.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis Peeler and husband Jim of Hamburg; brothers Victor Moyer, Stanley Moyer and wife Pauline, all of Hamburg, and Fay Moyer and wife Jackie of Half Way, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Tabor United Methodist Church or the Tabor Rescue Squad. Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
