Glenwood Opinion
Lillie Mae Glenn was born in Glenwood, Iowa on June 19th 1875 and grew to womanhood in that city. Later she met and married Daniel W. Hutchinson on June 19, 1892. To this union five children were born.
Paul F. of Spokane, Washington, Mary M. Joslin of Springfield, Missouri and Alice A. Christensen of Tuthill, S.D.
Two sons Cornelius M. and Robert W. preceded her in death.
She passed away at the hospital in Valentine, Nebraska, on April 27, 1948 at the age of 73 years 10 months and 8 days.
She with her husband moved to a farm Bonesteel, S.D. in January 1904 and resided there until 1912. Then moving on to Tripp County in 1915.
In 1916 they took up a homestead in Mellette County, and lived there until 1932 when they came to Tuthill, S.D. where she resided until her death.
In the early years of her life she becme a regular attendant of The Friends Church at Glenwood, Iowa and throughtout the years has taken a special interest in the works of the Lord.
She leaves to morn her passing her husband, one son and two daughters, ten grandchildren and two gret grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Tuthill Gospel Chapel and was conducted by Rev. John Kearns of Hot Springs. Relatives attending from a distance were Mrs. Ida Tague of Sioux City, Iowa; A.Z. Amundson and Miss Caroline Amundson of Belvidere, S.D.
Interment was made in the Tuthill cemetery.
