Robert D. Erickson, 70, Glenwood
Robert Darrell Erickson, 70, of Glenwood died August 28, 1992, at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Nyman Lutheran Church near Essex, Rev. Malvin Suhr officiated the service. Burial was held at Nyman Cemetery.
Mr. Erickson was born November 14, 1921 in Page County to Carl Edwin and Anna Elizabeth (Pearson) Erickson. He was an Army-Air Force Veteran. He farmed near Essex for several years. His first wife, Gedna, died in 1988. In 1990, he married Peggy Ruth Scroggs Farrell and moved to Glenwood.
Survivors include his wife; son Roger Erickson of Essex; stepdaughter Ruth Ann Meads of Glenwood; stepson, Danny Compton of Norfolk; granddaughters Amy Bruney of South Bend, Indiana, April Erickson and Andrea Erickson of Essex; two step granddaughters, Kelly Dougherty of Burlington Junction, Missouri, and Julie Schoening of Mineola; three step grandsons: John Mead of Glenwood, David Compton of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Daniel Compton of Norfolk; and for step great grandchildren.
Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Memorial are suggested to Nyman Lutheran Church.
