Graveside rites were held Saturday, July 28 at the Emerson Cemetery for Mrs. Vern Steiner, 82. She was born April 13, 1891 at Haigler, Nebraska and departed this life at the Council Bluffs Hospital.
She spent most of her early childhood in Shenandoah, Iowa, attending public school there and was graduated from the Western Normal College at Shenandoah in 1911.
Mrs. Steiner was united in marriage to Vern C. Steiner of Emerson, Iowa. They made their home in the Emerson and Glenwood areas.
Preceding her in death was a daughter, Mary Isabel and a son Curtis Ryan.
Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Carl Ellermeir of Wayne, Nebraska.
