Thomas L. B Smith, for many years a resident northwest of Tabor, died July 20 at the home of his son Will in Cedar Rapids, from heart trouble, at the age of 64 years. The body was sent here to his son, Al Smith, and buried in the Pleasant Hill cemetery northwest of town, Tuesday, Rev. E. B. McCormick officiating.

Patrolman S. B. Smith has word of the death of his brother, Thomas S. B. Smith, which occurred at Cedar Rapids, Neb., Saturday, while he was on a visit to his son. His home was at Omaha and he was aged 63. He was also father of L. E. Smith, a patrolman on the Omaha force. The interment will be at Tabor, his former home, and where his wife s buried, today, it is expected. S. B. Smith expects to attend, and his sister, Mrs. Otto Vogeler of this city, and Mrs. L. E. Smith of Omaha went Sunday for the same purpose.
