Funeral services for Carrie Ethel O'Donnell were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Champion Hill Church, emerson, the Rev. Noel DeKalb, officiant.

Pall bearers were Dean McLain, Glen Cooper, Frank Durbin, Marion Fender, Gordon Hascall, and Glen Kellenbarger. Ushers were Jack McLain and John Jennings.

Furnishing the music were Mrs. Horace Greenwood, organist and Frederick Larsen, soloist. Caring for the flowers were Mrs. Dale Shelley and Mrs. Frederick Larsen.
Mrs. Cole was born August 2, at Carroll, the daughter of Michael O'Donnell and Elva Retta Cox and passed away April 25, 1971 in Elm Heights, in Shenandoah following a short illness.
She united in marriage to Arthur Garfield Cole on May 1, 1907 at Sutherland, Nebraska. Mr. Cole preceded her in death on January 2, 1958.
She spent most of her life in the Emerson Community, caring for her home and family and engaging in community activities.
She was a member of the Champion Hill Church and of Rebecca Lodge at Shenandoah.
Survivors are a son, Frank of Emerson; a daughter, Mrs. Emmett (Marjorie) Gipe, Malvern; a brother Ablert Shaner, Los Angeles, California; a sister, Mrs. William Schwann, of Los Angeles, California; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in the Emerson Cemetery with Sellergren-Lidell Funeral Home in Charge.
