Mrs. Elizabeth Calvert - -

Elizabeth Taylor Folden was born in Hancock County, Indiana, November 27, 1825, and died November 21, 1915, in Mills County.

She was united in marriage to Charles Calvert in 1845 and came to Fremont County in 1850. They came to Mills County in 1875 and made their home with Mr. and Mrs. George Folden. Mr. Calvert died at this home in 1880.

Seven children were born of this union, all dying in infancy except the daughter, Nancy, who passed away in 1908.

Mrs. Calvert was a persistent believer in Christ, being converted at the early age of 16. She was a member of the M.E. Church.

In 1885 she came to live with her daughter, Mrs. A.J. Harmer, and remained there until about two years ago. She was then taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Haynie, where she died.

She leaves eight grandchildren, one brother, and four step children to mourn her. The grandchildren - E.L. Harmer, Mrs. G.C. Wilson, Mrs. R.M. Morgan, J.M. Harmer, A. John Harmer, Mrs. L.G. Rodman, B.W. Harmer, and E Mae Harmer express their gratitude for assistance given them during the sickness and death of their grandmother.
