Delmar Wirth, 68, of Tabor died September 21, 2001 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha after a brief illness.Funeral services were September 25, 2001 at Tabor United Methodist Church with burial in the Tabor Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Swanberg and Darlene Fletcher officiated the services.

Mr. Wirth was the son of Ray and Lela Wirth, born July 10, 1933 in Hawleyville. He was married to J. Marlene Bates on June 16, 1957 in Oakland. He managed a lumber yard for many years, was involved in construction, and most recently owned and operated Del’s Building and Supply in Tabor until his retirement. He was a member of the Tabor United Methodist Church, Tabor Optimist Club, Tabor Community Club and a former member of the Rotary Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Cindy Bowley and husband Charlie of Malvern, and Tami Porter and husband Jeff. of Thurman; son, Randy Wirth and wife Donna of Tabor; seven grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Walter and husband Franklin of Nodaway, and Carolyn Curry and husband Terry of Corning; brothers, Darwin Wirth and wife Darlene of Escondido, Calif., and Gail Wirth and wife Barbara of Round Rock, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
