Funeral services for Edward Doty of Omaha were held Sunday in the Christian church, conducted by Rev. D.S. Thompson. The text of his discourse was “For What is Your Life?” James 4:14. Music was by Messrs. Morgan, Mayberry, Scott, Harold, with Miss Elsie Evans at piano.

The pall bearers were Foster Burchard, A.J. Dunn, Charles Dunn, Milton Freeley, Chris Larson, Jack Raven.

Edward Doty was born in Glenwood, Ia., October 15, 1877, and died in Omaha, Neb., May 17, 1922.

He was the youngest son of Jonas and Martha Doty, pioneers of our city.

He was married on September 10, 1913. He leaves to mourn his death one son and one daughter and two brothers, Walter and Frank of Omaha.

He spent his early life in Glenwood, moving to Omaha in 1897, where he has resided, being in the employment of his brother Walter.

The father, mother, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.
