Jennie Marie Nix, 92, of Aitkin, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Aitkin. She was born October 1, 1919 in Mission Township, Crosby to Peter and Cynthia (Robins) Amos. She was a Christian wife, mother, and a servant of Jesus Christ. She was always a gracious hostess. Jennie was united in marriage to Wayne Howard Nix on March 24, 1940 in Aitkin. She worked on the family farm, at the Aitkin Hospital and for the Land O Lakes Co., While living in Marysville, WA, she helped at the Faith Kitchen. She was a member of Glory Baptist Church and enjoyed having fun with her grandchildren. Jennie is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Jesse (Sue) Nix of Emily, George (Dena) Nix of Aitkin and Minneapolis, 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Elaine (Les) Moser of Deerwood, Clare (Rick) Richardson of Tigard, OR, Edee (Darwin) Johnson of Anoka, Pat Chaffee of Marysville, WA, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, on December 25, 2006, infant son Peter, great-granddaughter Lillian Pearson, son-in-law Wayne Chaffee, five sisters: Hettie VanHorn, Myrtle Whitley, Florence Robins, Alda Amos, Laura Anderson, and her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Glory Baptist Church, rural Aitkin. Reverend Randy Stauter will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Glory Cemetery.
