Funeral services were held in Red Oak yesterday for Mrs. Ruth May Genung, 86, former Hastings resident and burial was in Hastings Cemetery. The Rev. Herbert Bjorkquist officiated and rites were conducted from Sellergren Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gensung died last Sunday in an Omaha rest home where she has been a resident for a number of years. She was an aunt of Atty L. T. Genung, Glenwood and had been a resident of Bassett, Nebraska for a number of years.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Mason, lifelong residents of Hastings.Her husband preceded her in death in 1946. Mrs. Genung was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Omaha.
