Marion J. VanKirk passed away at his late home in this city, Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. The ailment which caused his death being appendation. Mr. VanKirk took to his bed Saturday, Jan. 5th and last Saturday an operation was restored in hopes of saving his life, but in his weakened condition he was unable to recover.

The funeral takes place today (Thursday) from the residence, interment taking place in the Silver City cemetery. A wife and daughter, parents, one brother and one sister, are left to mourn his loss. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community in their deep affection.
