Lucille Frances Gregory, 86, of Glenwood, died April 22, 2004, at the Glen Haven Home. Funeral services were held April 26, 2004, at the Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Pastor Darrell Hopp officiated the services. Burial was at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Gregory was the daughter of John Thomas and Maude Lela (Giles) Pulsifer, born June 9, 1917, in McFalI, Mo. She attended Peaceville Country School, Old Pacific School and Old East School. After completing her education, she was united in marriage to Alvin Burton Gregory on May 26, 1934, near Pacific Junction. This was a unique wedding ceremony and perhaps one of a kind in that it took place on the Plattsmouth Bridge nearer to the Iowa side! To this union three children were born. Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She was employed with several retail stores throughout the years—Charlestons, Hiligars, Anthers, Coatneys and Bradley’s Dime Store. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the dog races with her friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Colorado to see her daughter and family and Mr. Gregory’s sister and her husband. She loved being with her grandchildren, and the candy dish was always full. She had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor.

Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, three sisters and a great-grandson. She is survived by children John Gregory and wife Mary Ann of Glenwood, Peggy Winey and husband John of Grand Junction, Colo., and Patricia Adams and husband Harold of Adel; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Glen Haven Home. Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
