Fern (Morse) Strand, 71, of Glenwood died July 23, 2001 at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood.

Graveside services were July 27, 2001 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hastings with Elder Lloyd Groat officiating.

Mrs. Strand was the daughter of Donald Luther and Gertrude May (Kelley) Morse, born September 12, 1929 in Council Bluffs. She was married to Lowell (Bud) Strand on October 14, 1950 in Papillion, Neb. She was an LPN and also
owned and operated Strand Greenhouse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on October 22, 2000; and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Lowell Robert (Bobby), Jr. and wife Lola Strand of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and David and wife Marcia Strand of Glenwood; brothers, Bud Morse of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
