The Malvern Leader January 28, 1886

The Honorable Joseph Rhodes, who died last week so suddenly of paralysis of the heart, was born in Wayne Co. Indiana, March 9, 1918. He removed to Fremont County in 1851 where he has since resided. In 1878 he represented our County in the State Legislature.
The deceased was a man of noble and generous character. The funeral was held at his late residence Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. J.W. Crown conducted the service.
