DEATH OF UNCLE NIC SAWYERS.
In the death of "Uncle Nic" Sawyers, which occurred at his home Saturday, Jan. 14, this community is called upon to give up a man whose life had embedded itself in the hearts of all who knew him. He was loved because of his kind words, kind deeds and sympathetic nature.

Surely the good a man does is not interred with his bones, for such a man counts in life, such a life counts in death, and such influence counts after death. The funeral occurred Tuesday, Jan. 17, interment being in Waubonsie cemetery. He was in his 82 year.
