METCALF, LULU, TAYLOR, SHERMAN 1886-1967
Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu Sherman-Taylor-Metcalf, 1309 South 9th, Good Samaritan Home, will be held Tuesday at 2p.m. from
the Griffiths-Fox-Hovendick Chapel with Pastor William Walker officiating.

Mrs. Metcalf, 80, died Saturday afternoon. Born December 7, 1886 at Emerson, Iowa, she had lived in Beatrice from 1924 to 1942,
and moved here again four years ago.

She was a member of the First Baptist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert VanBorkum (Maxine), of Beatrice, and Mrs. George Fulton (Marguerite), of Corpus Christi,
Texas; three sons, John A. Taylor of Lompoc, California, Rev. Doyle Taylor of Raytown, Missouri, and Wilferd C. Taylor of Corpus
Christi, Texas; two brothers Cleveland A. Sherman of Sun City, Arizona, and Llewellyn R. Sherman of Quick City, Missouri; two
sisters Mrs. Oscar Gudgel of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado and Mrs. Howard E. Lambert of Yuma, Colorado; ten grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Evergreen Home Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church with H.C. Mikibbon
and Griffiths-Fox-Hovendick Chapel in charge.
March 4, 1967 Beatrice, Nebraska
Age 80 years, 2 months, 27 days.
