Rose Soe, 101, of Glenwood, died August 24, 2000 at Glen Haven Nursing Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were August 28, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs. Pastor Chuck Ramsey officiated the services.

Mrs. Soe was the daughter of George N. and Johanna (Nissen) Christensen, born March 30, 1899 in Elk Horn, Neb. She was united in marriage to Nels Peter Soe on May 10, 1919. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, P. E. O. Chapter FF, and Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; and grandson.

Survivors include her daughters, LaVonne and husband Carl Jepsen of Council Bluffs, Darleen Anderson of Council Bluffs, and Barbara and husband Dr. Robert K. Fryzek of Glenwood; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; sister, Irene Schwartz of Hollywood, Fla.; sister-in-law, Iva Christensen of Florida; daughter-in-law, Margaret Soe of Omaha, Neb.; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Glen Haven Memorial Fund. Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
