DATED APRIL 25, 1963:

Ethel Lucile Genung, daughter of L. T. and Julia Genung, was born in Hastings, Iowa, August 12, 1883, and died at her home in San Leandro, Calif., on Good Friday morning, April 12, 1963, at the age of 79 years, seven months and 23 days.

She was married to Marion A. Buffington on November 1, 1905, in Glenwood, Iowa. She and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1955.

Mrs. Buffinton was a member of the Glenwood Methodist church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and five brothers; her husband, Marion in 1955; and one daughter, Leona, in infancy.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Leota Eastman, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Mrs. Marjorie Skaggs, all of San Leandro, Calif., Mrs. Wilma Bangston of Villisca, Iowa, Mrs. Gayle Evans and Mrs. Elsie Springer, both of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one son, Eugene Buffington of Silver City, Iowa; one step-son, Gerald Buffington of Glenwood, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
