GLENWOOD TRIBUNE
DATED MAY 1927

Services Held from Baptist Church by Rev. J.F. Stille With I.O.O.F. Services at the Grave in the Glenwood Cemetery.

That genial personality and our friend after months of physical suffering, fell into that sleep that knows no wakening, on Saturday, May 7 at about 7 p.m. This neighbor friend and fellow citizen was Harry Hubbell. Harry had lived among us his entire adult life. He had labored among us, and had shared our joys and our sorrows. He had helped to battle the flames that destroy our homes and his comrades in that work loved him as a brother. Harry was always ready to help in any cause that promised an advancement to his home town. The brief annals of his life give but little hint of the place Mr. Hubbell held in the hearts of his fellow citizens.

The following facts of his life were read at the services this afternoon:

Harry A. Hubbell was born in Hamilton county, Neb., November 25, 1874 and departed this life May 7, 1927.

On December 24, 1900 he was united in marriage with Miss Winifred Tucker. To this union two sons were born, Willard and Clifford. He is survived by his wife, two sons and mother, Mrs. Reeder Hubbell, all living in Glenwood; a brother Alfred lives in Albert Lea, Minn. and a sister, Mrs. L.V. Davis lives at Sedgwick, Colo.

Funeral Services were held this Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Baptist church in Glenwood, conducted by Rev. J.F. Stille. The I.O.O.F. lodge of which he was a member gave its ceremony at the grave. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery. The business places of our city closed during the funeral hour.
